Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor, is most well-known for his part in the television show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Since his college days, Meloni was interested in acting. He then studied at his home institution, the University of Colorado at Boulder. He was also active in film and TV but his performances on small screens have earned him a lot of fame. His ability to portray characters from both sides of the law has captured the attention of the public. He was the character of the serial killer on his debut television show as well as later portrayed an NYPD detective. Numerous times, he was recognized for his work in the highly coveted Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. The most striking of his face features is thought to have been the piercing blue eyes which have helped him portray characters who appear rough and fascinating. He was named on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
