Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his role in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. From the time he was in university Christopher Meloni has always been fascinated by the world of acting. He went to study acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been active in both films and television, however it is his roles on the small screen that gave him popularity and much fans. This is not surprising since the actor has managed to grab the attention of viewers by playing characters that are either side of the law. He portrayed the role of a serial killer on his first television series project and then went on to play the role as an NYPD detective. The small screen performances of his are rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. The piercing, blue eyes which are said to make the actor look gorgeous. They've helped him play tough characters in a charming style. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
